Green Alley Award – Europe’s first startup prize for the circular economy

Landbell Group is looking for this specific type of entrepreneur – founders of innovative startups that came up with new solutions for urgent waste problems and aim to rethink the waste and recycling industry as we know it today. In order to find these startups, Landbell Group has created the Green Alley Award.
Its mission is to turn the linear into a circular economy, „where the value of products, materials and resources is maintained in the economy for as long as possible, and the generation of waste minimised“ (EU action plan for the Circular Economy.
The award celebrates those startups working to advance the circular economy in Europe and promotes ground breaking digital circular economy solutions, recycling solutions or ideas for waste prevention in order to recover valuable resources from waste
What is the benefit for winner, finalists and applicants?
The winner of the Green Alley Award receives a cash prize of € 25,000. But also finalists benefit from participation: Six startups will be invited to the final in Berlin with workshops and networking opportunities during the day. In two expert sessions they will receive advice from Landbell Group experts and experienced startup mentors. In the evening the finalists pitch in front of our Jury and international audience and have the chance to convince potential customers, new business contacts or future investors. Moreover, one applicant will receive the Seedmatch Crowd Award, funded by our partner Seedmatch, including an all-day workshop for a perfect crowd campaign, the option for a crowdfunding with Seedmatch or partner platforms as well as individual support with an exclusive media package & budget.
Who can apply?
All circular economy startups based in Europe are welcome to apply. Their product, service or technology should contribute to building a circular economy by using digital circular economy solutions, recycling solutions or ideas for waste prevention. Landbell Group is looking for startups with a developed product, service or technology preparing their market entrance or starting to grow their customer base in Europe. The business should not be older than five years.
